VOLUNTEERING
Planet Spiti Foundation welcomes volunteers, the inter-cultural exchange, understanding, practical knowledge, that they bring in.
If you want to volunteer, please fill up the FORM and we will get in touch with you with our current positions.
Few things to keep in mind:
1. The minimum time for volunteering with us at PSF is 4 weeks in case you want a certificate, letter to show for your internship, student film, research, case study, or any other project.
2. Some shorter volunteering opportunities can be discussed thoroughly.
3. Volunteers will live at the PSF eco-village campus and pay ₹900 per day for their room and board (veg food and shared dorms) in 2023. Anybody staying less than 4 weeks pay ₹1400 per day.
4. Genuine coaches, teachers, and experts can ask for any discounts for long term positions (2 months or more).
5. We hope to get volunteers who are experienced / certified swimming coaches in June, July, August, and September.
6. If interested to volunteer at PSF, fill out the VOLUNTEER FORM, now! We will reply to you via email or phone.
7. The internet may be unreliable in Spiti Valley so it can take us 7-10 days to respond. Kindly apply early so we can make all the necessary arrangements for you and you can plan your trip well.
8. Volunteer enquiries and numbers have been increasing in past two years which is awesome. However, sometime we face no-shows and cancellations that cause us trouble. Simply for this reason, we need to ask our volunteers to confirm their seat by paying up for 2 weeks (meal and board) in advance.
VISITING
- Please visit during visiting hours only
- Summers – Monday to Friday (10am -12pm)
- Winters – Monday to Friday (11am-1pm)
- Please do not visit outside of visiting hours and respect our free time.
Local parents, relatives, and other Spitians can visit anytime, but please contact us and plan the same 2-4 days ahead.
You can get a taxi from Kaza, or come with your own bike or car. You can step down at the Lidang Tea Shop stop if coming by bus.
